Founder of Soul House Integration
Since beginning his journey with ayahuasca in 2013, Richard has dedicated his energy to combining the wisdom of the plants with psychological and somatic approaches to healing. His own healing and transformation have been greatly supported by the Shipibo and Q'ero traditions. And his personal practice is deeply informed by the psycho-spiritual teachings of Jennifer Welwood, with whom he continues to study. All of these influences have come together to help shape his views and practice of plant medicine integration.
After studying dreamwork, somatic awareness, and psychology at Sonoma State University, Richard has moved to Peru to deepen his connection with the plants through traditional plant dieta in the Mahua tradition. He also studies the Andean wisdom traditions with his teacher Don Augustine of the Q'ero nation. He and his wife, Gigi, currently provide a safe place for much needed short and long-term plant medicine integration at their home in the Sacred Valley.
Gisela (Gigi) Aguilar
Integration facilitator and Co-founder
Gigi is a warm-hearted Peruvian woman who started her journey with the medicine 10 years ago in the Peruvian Jungle. She began and continues her path with the medicine by learning from Shipibo elders of the Mahua lineage.
After co-founding a small Montessori school for local children in the Sacred Valley, she has redirected her energy toward traditional plant dietas, ayahuasca facilitation, and co-founding Soul House Integration.
In addition to the beautiful offerings she has created to help others connect to their hearts and intentions, Gigi has opened her home to provide a supportive space for plant medicine integration.
